Each year the holidays are time for so many wonderful activities! We practice for our holiday performance, and make gifts for our families as we discuss our unique holiday traditions. One of our favorites each year is making these cute and easy picture frames!
I start by getting the frames at Michael’s for under a dollar here: https://www.michaels.com/wood-frame-by-artminds-4inx6in/10273691.html
My team bought them in bulk with a teacher discount and coupon and the final price was about $25 for 37 frames for each of us. Then, we get a few fun colors of paint and have the kids paint their thumbs to put all around the frame.
Then, I set up a little photo booth in the hallway with some colorful paper, snowflakes and a banner from the Target Dollar Spot. We ask parents to have children dress up in their “holiday best” for a special surprise one day, and take their picture.
I send the pictures to Walmart for their one-hour photo developing and pick them up after school. I add them to their frames, and we wrap them in tissue paper as a whole class. Then we make our own little gift bags to decorate for our families. There you have it! That’s our quick and easy holiday gifts.
Class Christmas Card
While I take their picture out in the hallway, I also have the kids take a selfie. These turn out so cute, and I put them together to make a class Christmas card for our families.
