These Color Word Emergent Readers have everything you need to teach color word sight words to your little readers.

What’s Included:

• 11 Color Books:
  • red

• Each book includes:
  • 6 pages of predictable text (The _(item)___ is ___(color)___.)
  • 1 page to fill in the blank (Students draw their own picture of something additional that color and fill in the blank if possible).

How I use them in my classroom:
I used this pack to go along wit our Color Week for a fun week of learning with a little prep work. Children dress up in one color each day. We learn the color song, color our color books, read the color book together, and unscramble the color word using the Google Slides (linked below). Children take home the emergent readers and practice reading them to someone at home. I encourage families to keep our little emergent readers in a shoebox or special place for easy access to read throughout the year!
